Another week, another win for Red Alto!

It was a case of Deja Vu for connections of Red Alto, as another week went by and another win was had by Red Alto.

Stepping up in grade and heading to the Moonee Valley after 2 dominant wins at Pakenham, Red Alto was sent out a $3.50 second favourite on the short back up. Saluting the Thursday night prior and coming back 100m in distance, Red lost no admirers as they went to the gates, being well supported before the race.

Jumping from Barrier 2 with regular rider Luke Currie aboard, Red Alto began well and was hunted up to maintain a positive position in running. Ending up on the back of the favourite in the race, Red & Currie bided their time in 4th position before making their move as they approached the 400m mark of the race.

Being set alight at the 450m mark, Red moved up around the outside of the 2 leaders quickly before negotiating the tricky Moonee Valley home bend on one reign. The 2nd placed Coram was coming quickly around Red Alto, however once balanced in the home straight, in typical Red style, he fought on gallantly to make it 4 wins out of 5 starts this preparation.

Brilliantly ridden by Luke Currie, Red Alto now takes his earnings over the $185,000 dollar mark and makes it 4 wins from 20 starts with 4 minor placings.

It was a first for Paul Banks, with Red supplying him with his first city winner. Banks was on record saying that it was "a privilege to train for such a great group of owners, who have been so patient with the horse. It's people like these that make it all worth wild and it's great to share this moment with them."

As for Red Alto, wherever he goes next he will again prove to be hard to beat with his will to win and confidence at an all time high.

Congratulations to all owners yet again!
