Attack The Line does exactly that!

Talented Wanted colt Attack The Line has registered his first win of his career after a strong on pace victory on Terang Cup Day.

With the barrier gods being against Attack yet again, jockey Luke Currie had the difficult task of jumping from gate 12 after 2 scratchings earlier in the morning.

When the gates sprung back Attack was midfield after a few strides before Currie made the decision to push on from the wide gate. Given time to settle in to his rhythm in the first hundred meters, Currie then asked Attack for a bit more to cross the field and lead, using him up to cross over the entire field to find the lead.

Down the side Attack was allowed a breather and conserved valuable energy for the long run in down the Terang home straight. Rounding the bend the field crept up on Attack, but Currie held him together until he had balanced for the run home. It was then he shook him up and Attack quickly extended to put 3 lengths on the field as Currie went for home at the 300m mark.

Maintaining his speed, Attack surged further in front to be in front by 4 lengths at the 150m mark before tiring slightly and being nursed to the line by Currie in the last 100m to record a comfortable 1.25 length victory.

Congratulations to all owners who have been very patient with him and hopefully we can push on to bigger and better things in his next few starts. The win also brought up Trainer Paul Banks first winner since taking the reins at Cloud 9 Thoroughbreds.

Congratulations all and we cannot wait to see what Attack The Line can do in his next few starts!
