Busy Weekend for Cloud 9 on Cox Plate Weekend

A busy weekend awaits the Cloud 9 Team with 3 runners starting off at Wangaratta tomorrow and finishing with a runner in the Group 2 AAMI Vase in Royal Standing on Cox Plate Day.

Remagen Bridge leads the team out on Friday in the 5:40pm Benchmark 70 handicap over 1170m. Apprentice Jock Luke Londregan takes the ride, fresh from success over the past week with a couple of winners. Here's hoping for another forward showing from Remagen Bridge who has been a tad unlucky at his last 2 starts. Drawn to get the gun run, we think he's a top 3 hope.

Arizona Skies heads to Moonee Valley on Friday Night to take on a talented bunch of talented 3y/o fillies in what looks to be a very tough race. Last years Cox Plate winning rider Chad Schofield takes the ride and after an impressive jump out in the lead up we are looking for a solid return with her with no real expectations, but as they say in the classics... Anything can happen, especially in Racing!

Royal Standing is the headline act for the team this weekend after a strong showing in his last outing at Caulfield over 1700m. Stepping up again in distance en route to the VRC Derby, Royal Standing will line up in the AAMI Vase at Group 2 level against some of the nations best 3y/o's. 'Royal' excelled last start with the rise in distance and will enjoy getting out further in distance again. One thing is for sure, if he is able to get across the line first he'll certainly be at 'Royal' status in our stable.

Good luck to all over the weekend and we know you'll be cheering loud for the Team at Cloud 9!
