Fleur Fatale aiming towards Spring 3 year old Features

Promising filly Fleur Fatale is back in work as she embarks on a Spring Carnival campaign aimed towards the feature 3 year old fillies races.

Having only had the one start for victory in the $150,000 Vobis Gold Ingot at Caulfield in April, Fleur Fatale was sent straight to the paddock with the Spring Carnival in mind. The strength of the win made trainer Brent Stanley immediately pull up stumps and put her away, as the 'class she possesses warrants a crack at the big time during the Spring Carnival'.

Fleur Fatale will be slowly built up over the coming months before a race plan will be determined with both the Thousand Guineas and Crown Oaks high on the agenda.

"We'll let her tell us how she's going, we'll take her slow and build her up gradually. She's a classy animal so it won't be too long before she's telling us what to do and you would imagine with what she's shown us at home, that races like the Guineas and Oaks would be high on the list'.

Fleur Fatale is one of the Cloud 9 Thoroughbreds charges headings towards the Spring Carnival and with 35 new yearlings purchased this season alone, it won't be long before the next talented colts and fillies are produced.

"We've got some really nice horses that will be unveiled in due course, and we can't wait for the next racing season to kick off" Stanley said.

Fleur Fatale is expected to be back at the track in the coming months.
