Jetello makes it 2 in a week after winning at Moonee Valley

Jetello has made it 2 wins in 6 days after scoring at Swan Hill last Monday, then backing up to win his first Metropolitan race at Moonee Valley on the Saturday.

After only just scraping in to the field at 7:30am on Saturday morning, Jetello returned to the stable a metropolitan winner after being aided by a Chad Schofield special ride to get the son of Niello home.

Jumping from Barrier 13, Jetello pinged the lids to land a length in front of the field after only a few strides. Crossing over to find a nice position early on, Jetello and Schofield found themselves 3 deep the trip with cover after he allowed a circling horse to whip around him to give him the cover.

This turned out to be the race winning move as the Moonee Valley track was playing to the swoopers on the day and we were in the perfect position ready to pounce when the opportunity arose. Rounding the bend, Schofield clicked up Jetello when it was time to go and joined the leaders as they entered the home straight, dashing away to record the win by just on a length.

It was a great effort after such a tough win at Swan Hill on the Monday prior. "He came home that night and licked the bin clean and continued to do so, so there was no hesitation in backing him up today" Brent said.

"The way the track was playing we were confident of a solid performance, so to walk away with the win is very satisfying. The boys at Debutante Park sure know how to produce a nice horse to the stables so it's great to see them get the reward".

After proving how tough he was this week, hopefully now Jetello can go on with the job in his next races this preparation.

Congratulations to all involved Jetello.
