Real Desire delivers on what she's promised

Talented Wanted mare Real Desire has finally put it all together, delivering on what she has promised on the training track for some time, with a dominant win at Kyneton in the Kim Hollins Painting Maiden Plate over 1450m.

After stepping away half a step behind, Real Desire and jockey Michael Walker landed in the perfect position, stalking the $1.30 favourite in the race every step of the way. Staying on the favourites back gave Real Desire the perfect cart in to the race and approaching the home straight she was in the perfect position to pounce.

Once straightened, Walker released the shackles and away she went, running straight past the favourite to score with authority, scoring by over a length on the line eased down.

The win was well deserved after 5 placings in her 13 prior starts for the talented mare. "It's great to see her finally win a race and put it all together" Trainer Brent Stanley said. "She's looked like she was going to win a few in the past but she just thinks about it a bit too much, so today was very satisfying".

A decision on whether Real Desire will continue on racing or head straight to the breeding barn will be made in the next few days.

Congratulations to all on keeping the Cloud 9 good run going!
