Standing ovation for Royal Standing at Seymour

Royal Standing broke his Maiden status with authority on the 25th of September at Seymour.

Jumping from the gates, Jockey Damian Lane clicked Royal Standing up to share the lead over the 1300m distance before pushing on and increasing his lead throughout the race. Come the 500m mark Royal was 4 lengths clear in front and getting stirred up to take off and sustain his powerful performance.

Lane gave him a few smacks across the rear end and sticking to his task the entire way, Royal won by 3.75 lengths, running his rivals into the ground.

It was a nice change for Paris Stanley (Brent's Wife) who for the 2nd time in just a few days wasn't required to wash the silks as there wasn't one bit of dirt on them.

Damian Lane emphasised the point - "A good solid hit out and he really ran them into the ground. Solid performance that can hopefully be his launching pad."

Congratulations to all involved and we look forward to seeing what Royal can do next time he steps out after his dominant front running performance.
