Violate wins with authority on debut!

The strapping son of Sebring, Violate, has scored an impressive debut victory at the 'Nursery of Champions' - Bendigo racetrack. After several promising jumpouts in the lead up to his debut run, Violate partnered by James Winks, was sent out a $7 chance in the 2yo Bet365 Maiden Plate.

Bouncing from Barrier 5, Violate and Winks sprung from the gates and he was urged to hold up a forward position and stay out of the traffic that was behind him. Sitting in the leading trio in the centre, Violate was quite forward in running and threw his head somewhat before relaxing and galloping in the middle of the other 2 runners for the majority of the race.

Entering the home straight rounding the bend, Winks sat quiet on the big lad until fully straightened, where he released the brakes and let Violate go through his gears. Never headed in the straight, Violate scored running away while being eased down by 1.25 lengths in a commanding win that heard many happy owners on site cheer him home.

Jockey James Winks reported that he horse surprised him as he was entitled to be found out in the concluding stages after over racing early, however to the horses credit he fought them off and ran away with the victory.

Congratulations to connections on what was an outstanding win and hopefully the first of many!
